Mdina Cathedral Museum

Mdina is located in the central part of Malta’s main island and is an older city than the capital Valletta, often referred to as the "Noble City" and the "Silent City." There are no bustling open-air markets or shops here—just two hidden and charming little restaurants and a small teahouse on the city walls. The watchtower near the restaurants offers panoramic views of the green fields below the walls and the blue sea and sky in the distance. Mdina is also one of the world's most perfectly preserved examples of a medieval walled city still intact today. The fortification of the walls was completed after the "Great Siege," during which the city was enclosed and has remained so ever since.

The Cathedral Museum is located next to St. Paul’s Cathedral in Mdina. Built in the 18th century, it was historically a seminary and now serves as Mdina’s most important religious museum. The museum features an overall Baroque architectural style and houses a collection of exquisite religious artworks, including coins, silverware, vestments, musical manuscripts, and woodcuts by the German artist Albrecht Dürer, attracting many domestic and international visitors.
