After Keelung, the world’s largest “floating library” to visit Kaohsiung Port in September

The world’s largest floating library, Logos Hope, will arrive in Taiwan on the 22nd. After its stop in Keelung, its next destination will be directly to Kaohsiung Harbor. It is expected to dock at Banana Pier from September 13 for two weeks, allowing residents of southern Taiwan to board and explore its collection of over 60,000 books.

Logos Hope is currently the world’s largest floating library. Registered in Valletta, Malta, it is operated by the German Christian charity organization GBA Ships (Good Books for All). Since 1960, it has sailed around the world, visiting about 160 countries and receiving approximately 40 million visitors on board. Operated by a German Christian charity organization called GBA Ships, Logos Hope not only provides access to good reading materials in the countries it visits, but also its volunteers engage in community service initiatives in each port.

In addition to its rich collection of books, Logos Hope features an exhibition area on life journeys, a theater, a restaurant, an international coffee lounge, a clinic, and a lifestyle experience pavilion for visitors to explore. During its Taiwan journey, after stops in Keelung and Kaohsiung, it will finally dock at Anping Port in Tainan.
