Xaghra

Xaghra is a small village located on the island of Gozo and is also the earliest inhabited settlement on the island. According to the 2008 census, it had a population of 4,200. This tranquil and pleasant place boasts a delightful climate and beautiful surroundings, making it an ideal destination for leisure and vacation. The Parish of Xaghra is primarily dedicated to Our Lady of Victories, and a major festival is held here every September 8th. As it is the last major festival of the summer, it is highly anticipated. During the celebrations, the entire village is adorned with lights and decorations, filled with joyous singing, laughter, and lively festivities.
