63 Sea World

63 Sea World is located inside the 63 Building in Seoul and opened to the public in 1985. Covering an area of 5,630 square meters, it is the first public aquarium in South Korea. Designed to provide an educational and entertaining experience for those who love marine life, it attracts around one million visitors each year.

There are about 80 aquarium tanks in 63 Sea World, 54 of which are for public viewing, while the rest are used for breeding and raising rare marine species. The facility houses over 400 species and more than 20,000 marine creatures, including king penguins, rockhopper penguins, arapaima, piranhas, Asian small-clawed otters, harbor seals, and sea lions. Standing in the aquarium and watching these creatures swim around, you may feel as if you are truly deep beneath the ocean.

The aquarium also hosts regular animal shows. The South American sea lions and California sea lions perform three shows daily, delighting children with their amazing performances. The captivating sea lion and harbor seal shows draw large crowds, and the popular feeding show featuring cute little penguins and their trainers is a favorite among many visitors.
