"Avengers: Age of Ultron" Shoots in Seoul, Portraying South Korea as an "IT Tech Powerhouse"

The Hollywood superhero blockbuster "Avengers: Age of Ultron" will film in Seoul from the 30th to April 14th. The Seoul Metropolitan Government stated that to assist with filming chase and fight scenes, traffic controls will be imposed on certain city roads.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government said that "Avengers: Age of Ultron" will depict South Korea as an "IT and tech powerhouse." Through the film, Seoul’s technologically advanced, modern yet aesthetically pleasing urban landscape will be showcased. Marvel Studios also commented: "South Korea boasts cutting-edge technology, beautiful cityscapes, and stunning architecture, making it an ideal filming location."

To support the production, the Seoul Metropolitan Government is implementing traffic controls in bustling areas including the Gangnam Subway Station intersection, Cheongdam Bridge, Mapo Bridge, the steel road in Mullae-dong, Yeongdeungpo District, the Han River artificial floating island, and the World Cup Boulevard in Sangam DMC (Digital Media City). Some bus routes will also be adjusted.

March 30 – Mapo Bridge
April 2–4 – Sangam DMC, World Cup Boulevard
April 5 – Northern section of Cheongdam Bridge
April 6 – Morning, Gangnam-daero
April 7 – Area near Kyung Hee Cyber University
