Speaking of the hottest K-pop boy band in Korea recently, it has to be BTS. Not only have they topped the US Billboard charts, collaborated with LINE FRIENDS to launch exclusive ice cream and stickers featuring their own characters, but they’ve also opened their very own café in Seoul, South Korea. It’s insanely popular—whether you’re an ARMY fan, an internet influencer, or a culture lover, everyone’s rushing to take IG photos there, making it one of the most sought-after Seoul cafes right now.
In fact, Seoul has a ton of cafes. Since many Koreans have the habit of drinking coffee after meals to cut through the grease, you’ll find all kinds of cafes lining the streets. Today, let us guide you through some of the trendiest, most IG-worthy cafes that frequently pop up on Seoul’s photo walls.
Seoul IG Check-in Spot: BTS Café
BTS collaborated with LINE FRIENDS at the end of last year to jointly launch “Universe Star BT21,” eight characters they designed themselves. The LINE FRIENDS Itaewon store was also transformed into the “BT21 CAFE” earlier this year—not only does it sell a wide range of adorable BT21 merchandise and graffiti-style décor, but it also offers seven drinks inspired by the characters. The café even displays signed mascots and design sketches by BTS members. It’s definitely a must-visit IG café for ARMY fans in Seoul.

Aside from the BT21 Café, BTS actually has another favorite hangout nearby their agency—“Midnight in Seoul,” which is co-owned by celebrity Jo Kwon. This Seoul café is quite unique, famous for its “cereal” theme. The walls are covered with colorful cereal boxes, and the glass cases display cute-shaped cereals and cookies. It’s super adorable.
To order, you first choose your preferred cereal, milk, and yogurt. If you want it to look even more indulgent, you can add ice cream. Of course, if you’d rather enjoy a rich vanilla or latte coffee, this charming Seoul café has that too.

When it comes to cafés in Seoul, South Korea, most people probably only think of the usual ones on the ground level. But recently, the hottest spot in the Seoul suburbs is actually this — Asia’s first and the world’s seventh “Space Air Café.” Not only can you enjoy a 360-degree, unobstructed view of Seoul’s night scenery from a 35-meter-high airship, about the height of a 10-story building, but you can also sip on delicious coffee while taking Instagram-worthy photos of the high-altitude cityscape to make your friends green with envy.

Also located in the suburbs of Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, is another popular IG-worthy café — "Dreamy Camera Café (꿈의 카메라 카페)," selected by American website BuzzFeed as one of the 25 must-visit cafés in a lifetime. The owner, who is passionate about both photography and coffee, not only built the café next to his home but also designed its exterior to resemble an old-fashioned camera. Inside, the café is filled with a variety of new and vintage cameras of different models, as well as Polaroid photos.
The most unique part? After you place your order, the owner will give you a "dream list" to fill out. Once handed in, it will be posted on the wall along with others. You’ll also receive a commemorative version to take home. Head upstairs to the seating area by the window, enjoy the surrounding pastoral scenery with a cup of coffee — pure bliss.

The interior décor, furnishings, and even tableware all feature a hand-drawn style with white backgrounds and bold black outlines, making you feel as if you've stepped into a 2D comic world. Wonder if walking in might make you feel a bit off-balance and prone to tripping?
