Acidic Spring Hot Springs is located on the western side of Mount Ōtake, the main peak of the Hakkōda Mountains in Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture, in Japan's northeastern region. The spring water is highly acidic, with a taste similar to lemon when sampled, hence the name "Acidic Spring."

Acidic Spring Hot Springs is a weak sodium chloride spring, known for its abundant water flow and diverse therapeutic properties. Despite its deep mountain location, it has been used as a hot spring resort for therapeutic purposes for over 300 years.
