Tokyo DisneySea is a theme park located in Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, within the Tokyo Disney Resort. It opened on September 4, 2001, covering a total area of 176 acres (714,000 square meters). It is the second park to open within the Tokyo Disney Resort and the ninth Disney theme park to open worldwide.

Themed around the slogan "Where Adventure and Imagination Set Sail," Tokyo DisneySea is primarily composed of seven themed "ports of call" — Mediterranean Harbor, American Waterfront, Port Discovery, Lost River Delta, Arabian Coast, Mermaid Lagoon, and Mysterious Island — as well as two park icons, the Aquatopia and Mount Prometheus. Each area features attractions, shows, and restaurants that match its respective theme. The park also adopts the “character greeting” concept from Tokyo Disneyland. In addition to iconic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, figures such as the Little Mermaid and Aladdin also make appearances throughout the park.

Tokyo DisneySea primarily caters to an adult audience and is one of the most visited and popular Disney theme parks in the world. In 2004 alone, it welcomed 12.2 million visitors.
