Japanese Chiba Prefecture Meet-and-Greet at Taipei International Travel Fair

The Chiba Prefectural Government has set up a booth at the Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF). During the event, Chiba-kun (CHI-BA+KUN), the highly popular mascot of Chiba Prefecture in Taiwan, will appear at the booth to help promote and showcase the charms of Chiba Prefecture.

The Chiba Prefectural Government has produced a series of promotional videos. Taiwanese blogger Shanten Taitai, who lives in Japan, and Chiba-kun visit the North Kanto region of Chiba Prefecture — recognized as part of Japan Heritage — including Narita, Sakura, Sawara, and Choshi. They enjoy the streetscapes from the Edo period (1603–1867) and introduce local attractions and cuisine.

The Chiba Prefectural Government has launched the “Chiba-kun Taiwan Fan Page,” where they post updates on Chiba-kun’s promotional activities in Taiwan and related information about Chiba Prefecture. Fans who love traveling in Japan may want to check it regularly.
