Tokyo is the first stop for many travelers visiting Japan. The neighboring Chiba Prefecture serves as a key gateway to central Tokyo. In addition to the major Narita Airport, the joyful Tokyo Disney Resort is also a famous amusement destination. This year, the New Keisei Electric Railway has launched a convenient spring travel ticket plan, the “Ride & Earn Spring Sakura Travel Ticket,” offering passengers discounted rides.

New Keisei Electric Railway is a major private railway company in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. The spring travel ticket plan being sold this year allows passengers to choose any three days between March 20 and April 11 to ride the entire New Keisei Line all day for free. On the day the ticket is used, passengers can also enjoy shopping discounts and other benefits by presenting the ticket at designated station shops.

In the past, visitors or business travelers arriving at Narita Airport in Chiba Prefecture either waited for their connecting flights or took the train straight to central Tokyo. In fact, Chiba Prefecture is a city rich in traditional Japanese charm that’s worth experiencing for half a day to a full day. Areas within the prefecture such as Sawara, the Chiba Prefectural Boso-no-Mura, and Choshi City boast captivating scenic beauty. Meanwhile, Narita City, where the airport is located, is a bustling commercial and tourist hub that preserves traditional historical and cultural sites including Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, shrines, art museums, and museums.

The New Keisei Line includes stations such as Matsudo, Kamihongou, Matsudo-Shinden, Minoridai, Tokiwadai, Gokoku, Motoyama, Kita-Hatsutomi, and Kamagaya Daibutsu, among others. With the railway company’s spring travel ticket plan, you can easily explore the rural scenery of the Edo and Meiji periods and experience the development and evolution of Japanese history and folklore. Now, during the season when cherry blossoms are in full bloom and dancing in the air, why not follow the New Keisei Electric Railway to discover touching sights? The ticket is priced at 1,000 yen for adults and 500 yen for children, and cannot be shared among multiple people. Except for some stations where it is not sold, the ticket is available at all New Keisei Line stations. For details, please check the official website.
