College students, take note: A 5-day travel experience in Chiba — tourism ambassador program open for applications

Attention college students: Here’s another chance to travel to Japan for free. Applications for the Chiba tourism group are now open. If you’re adventurous, love sharing your experiences, enjoy taking photos, and making friends, you could be selected as a tourism ambassador for Chiba Prefecture. You’ll get to be interviewed on radio programs and participate in various promotional events across Taiwan.

Chiba Prefecture’s summer tourism experience program has entered its fourth year. Each year, 10 university students from across Taiwan are selected to visit famous attractions such as Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, Koedo Sawara, Mother Farm, Aquamarine Fukushima, and ride the Choshi Electric Railway. The itinerary also includes exchange activities between Taiwanese and Chiba university students to share their experiences.

Students participating in the Chiba tourism experience group are required to promote Chiba’s travel information on social media platforms such as Facebook and blogs in both Chinese and Japanese during and after the trip. They may also be invited for radio interviews or to attend promotional events organized by Chiba Prefecture in Taiwan. All expenses for the “Chiba 5-Day 4-Night Summer Experience Group,” including transportation (round-trip airfare between Taipei and Tokyo), accommodation, meals, and entrance fees to attractions, will be covered by the organizers.

Applications are accepted online. Participants need to fill out personal information and submit self-introductions in both Chinese and Japanese, stating their motivation for joining the Chiba experience group.
