Chiba Port Tower is an observation tower built to commemorate the population of Chiba Prefecture reaching 5 million. It is located in Harbor Park in Chiba City, the capital of the prefecture. Facing Chiba Port, the 125-meter-tall tower is divided into four floors inside, each with a distinct layout and function.

The observation deck at 113 meters offers visitors sweeping views: to the east lies the bustling downtown area of Chiba City, while to the north you can take in the new urban landscape of Makuhari and the Chiba Marine Stadium. On clear days, the majestic silhouette of Mount Fuji is also visible. After enjoying the scenic views, head up to the tea room at 109 meters for a refreshing cup of tea or a delicious meal — sipping beverages while gazing out the window is truly a delightful experience. The first floor of the tower houses numerous souvenir shops where visitors can pick up gifts and mementos from Chiba Prefecture for family and friends.

Every year during the Christmas season, Chiba Port Tower “plants” a 100-meter-high Christmas tree adorned with 3,000 colorful lights, creating a stunning and festive atmosphere.
