Taiping Mountain National Forest Recreation Area
The Taiping Mountain Forest Recreation Area spans a vast area and includes scenic spots such as Tuchang, Renze, Zhongjian, Lantai, Bailing, Shangping, Taiping Mountain, Cui Feng Lake, Sandie Waterfall, and Duli Mountain.
The area also offers a wide range of recreational facilities, including Jiu Zhi Ze Hot Springs (formerly Renze Hot Springs), Forest Amusement Park, forest bathing trails, wildlife reserves, three forest bathing areas, Bouncing Car (forest train) rides, hot spring splash pools, geothermal egg-boiling areas, and natural hot baths.
Among the various sites in the Taiping Mountain National Forest Recreation Area, Renze, Taiping Mountain, and Cui Feng Lake are the most well-developed and are especially suitable for family outings.
A visit to the Taiping Mountain Forest Recreation Area is not complete without taking a ride on the Bouncing Car (forest train), which will take you through the mountain and introduce you to its woodland spirits. In addition, the forest bathing trails are designed with rest pavilions where visitors can stroll, relax, and enjoy the scenery.
The wildlife reserve at Duli Mountain features pristine forests along the route from Taiping Mountain to Duli Mountain. There is a Monkey Viewing Pavilion where visitors can observe the ecology of various wild animals, as well as an observation deck offering panoramic views of Turtle Island in the Pacific and South Lake Mountain.
