The 2014 Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival Kicks Off This Summer

The annual travel event "Yilan Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival" runs from July 5 to August 24, with the main venue at Yilan's Dongshan River Water Park. The park will feature a Global Handicrafts and Cultural Creativity Market, showcasing exotic styles, cultural and creative crafts, and interactive experiences, aiming to add an international and artistic touch to the festival. In addition, there will be refreshing water play facilities and exciting performances and exchanges by domestic and international troupes, ensuring unforgettable summer memories for both adults and children.

With numerous domestic and international performing groups—over 20 foreign troupes from Japan, Mexico, Russia, Indonesia, South Korea, Bulgaria, and more, as well as local groups such as FOCA Taiwan Circus, Lanyang Drama Troupe, Nine Songs Children's Theater, Lanyang Wind Orchestra, and the Huilan Beibu Elementary School Dance Team—the performances are diverse, vibrant, and spectacular.

The event also includes the "Global Handicrafts and Cultural Creativity Market," featuring lifestyle goods and artworks personally selected by international teams, bringing the essence of their local cultures to the festival and offering visitors endless surprises. This year, the market further combines cultural creativity and the joy of handmade crafts, inviting domestic and international handicraft masters to showcase their skills, allowing visitors to enjoy an exhibition full of exotic handicrafts while experiencing the market, injecting continuous creative energy into the festival and celebrating the beauty of a creative lifestyle.
