Autumn Trip to Lan Yang: 2011 Yilan Creative Slow Living Festival

Autumn has arrived, making it the perfect time for a slower-paced, soul-nourishing journey. The “2011 Yilan Creative Slow Living Festival,” hosted by Yilan County Government, is set to kick off on October 29. Over the course of nine days, the festival will include art exhibitions, creative markets, music performances, and more, allowing visitors to comfortably enjoy autumn in Yilan.

Yilan County Magistrate Lin Cong-xian stated that Yilan has the lush “Green Expo” in spring, the internationally renowned “Yilan International Children’s Folklore and Folkgame Festival” in summer, and the lively and cozy “Yilan Winter Hot Spring Season” in winter. To allow visitors to experience Yilan’s tranquil rhythm during autumn, the “2011 Yilan Creative Slow Living Festival” was specially planned this year. It aims to make guests feel right at home through the creativity of artists.

The Yilan Creative Slow Living Festival will invite artists to use streets as their canvas, designing ingenious installations. It will also feature 26 performing bands and over 100 musicians in consecutive performances, including renowned artists such as Show Lo, Huang Shan-liang, Hsiao Hung-jen, Suming, Yang Pei-an, Hsiao He-shuo, Chang Yu-wei, Lin Lung-hsuan, Chang Chung-li, Tung Yun-chang, Chen Ming-zhang, Huang Chien-wei, and Ruan Dan-qing, promising a rare musical feast.

The event will run from October 29 to November 6 at the Yilan City No. 204 Parking Lot (diagonally opposite Crescent Mall), Yilan Distillery, Diudiuang Square, and Yilan Riverside Park.
