Cui Feng Lake is currently a forest ecological conservation area. The area below 1,850 meters above sea level consists of grassy hillsides dominated by vegetation such as rushes. The lakeshore is home to mandarin ducks, one of the most precious bird species, and many mallards can also be found in the northern part of the lake, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience the wonders of nature.

“Cui Feng Morning Sun” is a must-see sight for visitors to Taiping Mountain. The lake water is crystal clear and mirror-like, earning it the beautiful name “Reflections of Cui Lake.” Here, you can spot nationally protected and rare bird species such as Mikado Pheasants (Black-tailed Pheasants) and Swinhoe’s Pheasants.
