Lion Museum

The Lion Museum is located alongside Toubin Coastal Road in Toucheng, facing Guishan Island from afar. The museum houses a collection of over 2,000 lion-themed cultural relics and artworks, most of which are made of stone. The Hedongtang Lion Museum is situated along the coastal highway in Toucheng and is the first museum in Taiwan themed entirely around “lions.” It is also one of the very few museums that place equal importance on artifact exhibitions and outdoor scenery. It was founded in April 1998 by construction entrepreneur Gao Jian, with painter Chu Ge serving as the museum’s director.
