Taitung Forest Park

Taitung Forest Park is located at the junction of Zhongshan Road and Mahengheng Boulevard in Taitung City. Originally known as Black Forest Park due to the presence of a landfill, it was largely overlooked. In recent years, it has been planned, renovated, and developed by the Forestry Bureau and Taitung County Government, including the addition of bike paths. Although some areas are still under development and tree cover is not yet fully established, it has become a leisure destination for sports, recreation, and tourism. The park’s Pipa Lake is particularly scenic, and nearby there is also Huoshui Lake in the seaside park.
