Explore Taitung All Summer Long with Free Sightseeing Bus Tours

In addition to integrating a “seamless tourism service for attractions,” the Taitung Good Go sightseeing bus also offers three routes: “Urban Line,” “Longitudinal Valley - Luye Line,” and “Coastal & Islands Line,” taking visitors on a tour through Taitung’s Longitudinal Valley. The Urban Line and the Longitudinal Valley - Luye Line operate from 08:00 to 18:00 on weekends and holidays, as well as throughout the summer vacation, departing from Taitung Railway Station. On weekdays, service runs from 09:00 to 17:00. The Coastal & Islands Line departs from Taitung Airport, with the same operating hours as the other two lines.

To coincide with the launch of the sightseeing bus, Taitung County Government has introduced the “Blog Lyric Contest,” inviting everyone to become a backpacker in Taitung. From now until August 30, simply share your experiences exploring Taitung via the shuttle bus in a blog post, and you could win big prizes such as a NT$10,000 cash award or accommodation vouchers.

These include the two-month-long Aboriginal Harvest Festival starting July 2, the “I’m in Taitung – Maca Baa Hi Series” beginning July 17, the “2010 Season of Flying Dreams” kicking off on the 24th, the “2010 Taimali Golden Needle Mountain Golden Needle Flower Season” debuting on August 1, and the “Chishang Bamboo Raft Festival” held on August 14.
