California’s love for food dates back to the famous Gold Rush of 1849, when people from around the world flocked there in search of gold, resulting in the coexistence of 200 dialects and a variety of national and regional cuisines. This summer, the European Bistro at Taisugar Evergreen Laurel Hotel launches the “California Food Festival,” emulating California’s ethos of cooking with locally sourced fresh ingredients, and showcasing the diverse and flavorful specialties that California is known for. From July 3 to August 29, every Saturday and Sunday evening, you can enjoy Californian cuisine reimagined with borderless culinary techniques.

In addition to the California Food Festival at Taisugar Evergreen Laurel Hotel, Taipei’s Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi New World is also hosting a “U.S. Independence Day Special Event,” featuring stories of American brands and various exhibits on food, fun, and entertainment.
