Spin into Summer: The 2010 Qingjing Windmill Festival Blows in Happiness

The event venues of the "2010 Qingjing Windmill Festival" include Little Switzerland Garden, Qingjing Shopping Mall, and the Tourist Leisure Center, among others, with a variety of performances taking place. For the first time this year, Little Switzerland Garden has introduced the Taiwanese lily, commonly known as the "Taiwan Iron Cannon," which is expected to bloom simultaneously with 3,000 to 4,500 flowers, creating a spectacular sight. In addition to maintaining its signature patterned windmills, the main exhibition area, Little Switzerland Garden, has also introduced 28-centimeter large paper windmills and 18 three-meter-tall painted windmills, forming a thematic windmill exhibition area.

The most eye-catching attraction this year is the paper-cut art installation modeled after a CK124 train. The park has also set up four train seat areas where visitors can relax while enjoying the garden scenery. A giant paper windmill installation, the largest of its kind in the country, has been erected in the square. At night, LED lights project onto it, creating a spectrum of colors that make Little Switzerland Garden even more enchanting after dark. During the event, there will also be performances by clarinet ensembles, pan flute bands, the Egg Soul Band, and the Delicious Relations Band, offering visitors a rich auditory experience.

To make up for the absence of the sheep show this year, Little Switzerland Garden has collaborated with Paper King for the first time. Themed around Little Switzerland, the exhibition features paper sheep, paper cows, and paper-cut creations of famous European landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, Dutch windmills, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, giving visitors the feeling of strolling through iconic sights across Europe.

The Qingjing Windmill Festival also offers a "Fun Summer Admission Discount." On July 11th, Little Switzerland Garden launched a special promotion with a flat rate of just 71 NT dollars, allowing both adults and children to enter for just 71 NT dollars. OPEN将 fans will also be in for a treat this year, as the Little Switzerland area has introduced the super cute OPEN将 family to join in the fun, adding an alternative touch of European fairy tale charm to the garden.
