Zhiben Forest Area

Zhiben Forest Area is located in Taitung County, Taiwan Province. Originally part of State-owned Forest Land, specifically the 33rd Forest Compartment of the Taitung Working Circle under the Forestry Bureau, it was later developed into a forest recreation area. The management agency used a 4-hectare former nursery as the center and integrated approximately 10 hectares of afforested land around it. The recreation area is situated near the middle reaches of the Zhiben River. To enter the recreation area, one must cross the Guanlin Suspension Bridge spanning the Zhiben River. The bridge is deep red in color, about 84 meters long, and offers views of the rugged, pristine landscape of the Zhiben River below. As strong winds blow, the bridge gently sways, providing a cool and comfortable experience.
