Green Island Lighthouse is a cultural tourism attraction.

Green Island Lighthouse is located in Lyudao Township, Taitung County. It was first built in 1939 and is currently managed and operated by the Customs Administration of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of China. Legend has it that in December 1938, during the 13th year of Japan’s Showa era, the American ocean liner SS President Hoover ran aground and sank off the coast of Gongguan Village on Green Island. As a result, the American Red Cross decided to donate funds to build a lighthouse here. During World War II, the lighthouse's light was destroyed by bombing and was restored in 1948.

Standing at 33.3 meters tall, Green Island Lighthouse uses a fourth-order rotating lens powered by alternating current, emitting a light with an output of 100 watts. Its beam can reach up to 25.7 nautical miles. For decades, it has faithfully stood guard here, illuminating the path for passing ships. The lighthouse is a striking all-white cylindrical structure, towering majestically against the blue sky and beside the azure sea.
