Yangguang Forest Recreation Area

The Yangguang Forest Recreation Area is located in Lidao Village, Haiduan Township, Taitung County, Taiwan, covering a total area of 362 hectares. Only 13 hectares of the area are designated for recreational facilities, while the rest is preserved as forest landscape conservation zones. Visitors can breathe in fresh air to their heart’s content and immerse themselves in the wonders of nature.

Dominated by plant species such as Taiwan two-needle pine and Taiwan red cypress, the forest also features colorful broadleaf trees like Taiwan red maple, making it an ideal habitat for various bird species. Additionally, the area boasts magnificent sunrise views, cloud seas that seem within reach, and frequent misty landscapes in the afternoon—spectacles that never fail to amaze visitors with the wonders of nature. Moreover, due to its high elevation, the Yangguang Forest Recreation Area turns into a breathtaking canvas of red foliage in autumn and winter. The vibrant colors of the forest create a spectacular scene, perfect for photography and memorable moments.
