Au Waterfall, also known as Dajin Waterfall, is located at the boundary between Sandimen and Gaoshu townships. It is a majestic yet graceful waterfall, with a vast and deep-reaching landscape that offers stunning scenery. Thanks to its well-developed trail facilities, it is a popular destination for waterfall sightseeing.

Au Waterfall consists of five tiers, with the second tier being the easiest to reach. The waterfall descends from a great height in a slender stream, exhibiting remarkable symmetry and delicacy. It rushes down steep cliffs with strong force and a powerful roar. Some visitors even venture under the falling water to enjoy the thrilling rush. After the cascade, the water gathers into a deep pool before flowing gently into the valley. The valley floor is dotted with large rocks, while both banks are shaded by dense greenery, adding to the serene and mysterious ambiance.

Following the trail upwards, just before reaching the waterfall, there is a pavilion. From this spot, the view is a sweeping expanse of green plains, especially enchanting at sunset when the sunlight glints off the Lao-Nong River, creating a dazzling shimmer that is truly captivating.

Transportation Guide: Take a Pingtung Bus bound for Dajin from the bus stop next to Pingtung Railway Station. Get off at Weiliao Station, turn right onto the community road, and walk about 1.8 km to Cijin Baogong Temple. From behind the temple, follow the hiking path uphill for approximately 15 minutes to reach the waterfall.
