Bai Sha Wan in Kenting National Park is a shell beach made up of marine creature shells, with uniform, glistening, and bright sand particles. It is suitable for swimming, diving, sailing, and riding jet skis all year round. On land, you can barbecue, camp, or enjoy cycling on the bike paths. In autumn and winter, you can watch the sun dip into the sea, and it’s also an excellent spot for stargazing at night.

After watching *Life of Pi*, you’ll surely never forget the stunningly beautiful floating sea island and Mexican beach — they were actually filmed at Bai Sha Wan.

Transportation

1. Take the Kenting Shuttle Bus Blue Line: Hengchun – Bai Sha – Maobitou – Houpihu Wharf – Nanwan – Kenting Street – Xiaowan;

Buses depart from Hengchun Transfer Station from 9:00 to 16:40, and from Xiaowan from 10:00 to 17:30, approximately once every hour;

2. Hire a car or ride an electric scooter; it takes about 40 minutes to reach Bai Sha Wan from Kenting Street by electric scooter.
