Tamsui street scene

The Tamsui street scene is located about twenty kilometers northwest of Taipei City, facing the mainland across the sea. It is a small town rich in historical traces. Situated in the northwest corner of Taipei County, Tamsui Town faces Bali Township across the Tamsui River to the south, is separated from Beitou District of Taipei City by Datun Mountain to the east, neighbors Sanzhi to the north, and looks across the Taiwan Strait toward Fuzhou City in Fujian Province, China. The streets of Tamsui are built along the river, giving the area a distinct water town charm with a hint of the ambiance of Venice.
