Is the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival appearing in New Taipei City? It turns out to be the "New Taipei Riverside Scene"

Not only did the Northern Song Dynasty have the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, but now New Taipei City also has its own New Taipei Riverside Scene! At the end of September this year, the Huajiang Riverbank Park in New Taipei City completed aNew Taipei Riverside Scenemural, attracting many cycling tourists to come and admire it. The artwork incorporates elements from the Northern Song Dynasty’s Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival, creating a 52-meter-long and 2.5-meter-high mural on the embankment. In addition to featuring distinctive riverbank attractions in New Taipei such as theCrescent Bridge, Starlight Bridge, and Sunshine Bridge,the painting also includes small figures with QR codes at various attractions. By scanning the QR codes with a mobile phone, visitors can link directly to the websites of the attractions.

The Highways Bureau invites citizens to visit the New Taipei Riverside Scene and put their thinking caps on to help find the riverbank attractions in the painting. From now until October 19, anyone who uploads a photo with the New Taipei Riverside Scene in the FB post for the "New Taipei Riverside Scene" event under the "Highways Bureau Fun Times" page and leaves a comment naming a riverbank attraction featured in the painting will be entered into a draw. On October 16, 20 lucky winners will receive New Taipei Riverside Scene-themed EasyCards. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the artwork.
