Pinglin Tea Industry Museum

The Pinglin Tea Industry Museum is located at No. 19-1, Shuisengqikeng, Shuide Village, Pinglin Township. It is a quadrangle courtyard building in the Southern Fujian Anxi style, covering an area of 2.7 hectares. The surrounding area is developed as a sightseeing tea plantation, and there are two tea houses—Zizhu Building and Mingyue Building—where visitors can enjoy tea. Inside, there are five main sections: the exhibition hall, the activity theme hall, the multimedia hall, the tea art hall, and the promotion center. These sections clearly present both the material and spiritual aspects of tea. The activity theme hall updates its theme every three months; the multimedia hall uses 3D animated visuals to vividly and entertainingly present tea knowledge through drama. Since its opening in January of the year 86 (1997), the museum has brought a significant number of visitors and additional tourism development to Pinglin Township.
