North Coast & Guanyinshan Scenic Area
The North Coast & Guanyinshan Scenic Area was mainly set up to consolidate the tourism resources of the “North Coast Scenic Area,” “Yehliu Scenic Area,” and Guanyinshan in northern Taiwan. Established on October 17, 2002, it rapidly became a renowned tourist attraction that combines culture, nature, ecology, and intellectual enrichment, thanks to its unique coastal and mountainous ecological landscapes as well as its diverse cultural attractions.
The North Coast & Guanyinshan Scenic Area is rich in sightseeing resources. Famous scenic spots such as Baishawan, Linshanbi, Fuguijiao Park, Shimen Cave, Jinshan, and Feicuiwan are distributed in a belt-like formation, with the North Coast Coastal Park running through them. Rest facilities are abundant along the way, offering great convenience for visitors. Yehliu Geopark is home to world-famous formations like the Queen’s Head and Fairy’s Shoe, whose remarkably lifelike shapes inspire awe at the wonders crafted by nature. In addition, the majestic and rugged beauty of Guanyinshan is also highly captivating. From the summit, you can gaze upon the meandering Tamsui River flowing endlessly into the sea, and enjoy sweeping views of the vibrant urban scenery of the Taipei Basin.
