Jinshan Hot Springs, Taiwan

The Jinshan Hot Springs generally refer to the hot springs located in Jinshan District and Wanli District of New Taipei City, Taiwan. They are part of the volcanic rock hot spring area of the Datun Volcano Group. Bordered by the East China Sea, this area boasts uniquely natural mineral waters and geological landscapes. Every winter, many people visit here together to enjoy the pleasure of soaking in the hot springs, especially during the peak season from October to February of the following year, when monthly visitor numbers can reach 90,000 to 100,000.

The hot spring water types in Jinshan include neutral carbonated springs, acidic sulfur springs, alkaline sulfur springs, and white sulfur springs. Some coastal spring waters also contain salt. The water temperature ranges from 45–50°C, with outlet temperatures reaching up to 90°C. These hot springs not only nourish the skin and promote blood circulation but also have whitening effects, making them highly favored by women. “Soaking in hot springs while enjoying the ocean view” is the most unique experience here. Visitors can soak in the warm Jinshan hot springs while facing the chilly sea breeze, allowing every cell in their body to relax and unwind.

In order to extend the tourist season into summer, Jinshan has in recent years introduced cold spring soaking options. Additionally, the annual “Hot Spring Food Festival” has gradually helped boost the local food and souvenir tourism trends along the historic Jinshan Old Street.
