Tai Fu Tai Mansion

The New Territories’ northwest district, San Tin Heung, has been home to the Man clan for centuries. The village was established hundreds of years ago. The earliest settlers originally hailed from Sichuan, migrated to Jiangxi during the Southern Song Dynasty, and later moved south to Guangdong, eventually settling in San Tin. The area boasts numerous ancient structures, among which the Kei Fung Man Ancestral Hall and Tai Fu Tai Mansion within the local ancestral shrines have been designated as historical monuments by the authorities. Following restoration, they are open to the public for free visits. The grand mansions and historic ancestral halls provide tangible evidence for those interested in genealogy and historical research.

Transport: Take the 76K bus from Sheung Shui Station on the Kowloon-Canton Railway to Yuen Long Sai Tai, get off at the first petrol station on the left, then walk along Castle Peak Road for about 5 minutes
