No need to fly to Hong Kong — health-focused dessert king Hui Lau Shan is back in Taiwan

Good news for fans of Hong Kong-style desserts: the health-centric dessert icon “Hui Lau Shan,” known for its nourishing stews, has officially opened its first Taiwan store in the Nanjing East Road shopping district. The signage features the original design from its founding store in Yuen Long, reviving the classic look of Hui Lau Shan’s first herbal tea shop in Hong Kong’s Yuen Long back in the 1960s. The store has 46 seats in total, with decor featuring a simple yet elegant buttery yellow color scheme. In addition to preserving classic traditional recipes such as “Lucid Ganoderma Turtle Jelly,” “Silver Chrysanthemum Drink” herbal tea, and Hong Kong-style seasonal nourishing stews, it will also launch a limited-edition handcrafted drink: “Ultra Mango with Tapioca Pearls.”

Reported by CNN as a must-try dessert brand in Hong Kong, Hui Lau Shan has been awarded the title of “Dessert King” for three consecutive years. In addition to its classic traditional herbal teas, turtle jelly, and various nourishing stews, it has also created unique Hong Kong-style fruit desserts such as Mango Pomelo Sago, Mango Sago with Lime, and Chunky Mango Madness.

Hui Lau Shan once expanded to Taiwan many years ago but later withdrew. The brand has now returned to Taiwan through the introduction of Huangtian International. On October 21, Hui Lau Shan officially opened in the Nanjing East Road shopping district, aiming to win over Taiwanese foodies with its high-quality and delicious offerings.
