Pineapple Hill is a mountain located in Tuen Mun that stands121meters tall. Although not very high, it boasts uniquely stunning scenery, which attracts many photography enthusiasts and hikers. This time, I took the opportunity during the Easter holiday on a nice day to pay it a visit!
% The rugged ridgeline stretches far, offering an incredibly photogenic view.
To get there, you can first take the West Rail Line to Siu Hong Station, then transfer to Light Rail505Line to reach Leung King Station. After exiting the station, walk into Leung King Estate, and you’ll see the entrance after passing Kee Leung School. Most people choose to hike up from Tuen Mun and descend to Ha Pak Nai in Yuen Long. The entire journey takes about3hours, depending on your pace. This time, I mainly wanted to capture the sunset at Pineapple Hill, so I didn’t go all the way down to Ha Pak Nai.

% In autumn and winter, the weather is clearer, making the overall hiking environment more pleasant.
% The exit is just next to the road—you’ll see the sign for Ha Pak Nai once you come out.
% There are also rest stops along the way if you feel tired (some spots even have benches to sit and rest).
% Most of the paths are paved roads, not too difficult, but the incline is quite steep, so it’s best to take it slow.% And you can also enjoy views of the sea from the ridge.
% Occasionally, you might spot some birds flying by.
% The different layers of terrain offer varying views.
% We came here hoping to catch the sunset, so we rested at the summit for a while.
% The ridgeline forms a unique arc, and when the lighting is right, it creates a truly spectacular scene. There are also many spots perfect for photos.
% Tips:Along the way, you’ll see some smaller paths leading to other hills. To head to the Grand Canyon area, just follow the main path.
% When you start descending, make sure to head in the right direction.
% Also, the terrain can be a bit tricky in some parts.
% The views along this part aren’t as wide-open as the previous ones.
% Once you climb up to this spot, you can see the magnificent ridgeline stretching out before you (if the weather is clear). I also met another group of friends continuing upward—they said you could see yet another breathtaking view if you keep going.
% This area, due to its eroded rock formations, has a very unique topography, which makes it especially photogenic. When you hike here, be sure to take some close-up shots too. You might discover another hidden gem.
