On July 27 and 28, large-scale assembly and protest activities continued. Protesters advocating against the extradition bill and violence marched in Yuen Long or gathered to protest at the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (located at 160 Connaught Road West, Sai Ying Pun). These are areas that should be avoided.

The protest route extended from Connaught Road West to the Beijing liaison office in Hong Kong, the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government. Travelers should try to avoid this area. In addition, there were also many protesters gathered at Hong Kong International Airport, and reports even emerged of flight attendants joining the protests immediately after disembarking. The airport is also a place that warrants caution, and visitors are advised not to stay there for long.

Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Canada, and Ireland have all issued travel alerts for Hong Kong. Ireland even issued a high-level travel alert. China may also consider issuing a travel alert for Hong Kong, which could affect the willingness of independent travelers from mainland China to visit and potentially impact Hong Kong’s tourism and consumer economy.

Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council advises travelers planning to visit Hong Kong to consider postponing their trips or avoiding protest areas, and to pay attention to MTR and traffic conditions to ensure their travel experience, itinerary, and personal safety are not affected.
