The Long Dike in the Lake and Yidong Tourist Area

The Long Dike in the Lake is 11 kilometers long and located 10 kilometers from the county town. It divides Bosten Lake into the main lake area and a cluster of smaller lakes. On one side are small lakes fringed with reeds and lotus flowers, teeming with seagulls and waterfowl, offering breathtaking scenery. The Yidong Tourist Area is situated at the southern end of the Long Dike in the Lake, at the source of the Peacock River. It was invested in and built by the Yidong Tourism Co., Ltd. of Bohu County in 1998, with a cumulative investment of 1.2 million yuan. Currently, the Yidong Tourist Area features one specialty restaurant, four yurts, one small parking lot, and one viewing platform, along with three speedboats, capable of serving meals to 120 people at the same time. In the future, our county plans to expand the scenic area and improve infrastructure by constructing additional viewing platforms, fishing pavilions, and more, aiming to enhance the area’s visibility and develop the Long Dike in the Lake into a premium tourist destination that integrates bird watching, fishing, leisure, and reed appreciation.
