Lianhua Lake in Bayingolin

Lianhua Lake is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Lianhua Lake is one of the interconnected small lakes in the western part of Bosten Lake. It is named after the abundant lotuses that grow there and is the source of the Peacock River. The lake is located 25 kilometers from Korla City.

The lake is densely covered with tall, upright reeds, and its waters are an indigo-blue hue. The central area of the lake is expansive, with a depth of 1.5–1.7 meters and crystal-clear visibility. During summer and autumn, wild ducks, geese, and herons gather in pairs or groups to play in the lake. The Lianhua Lake scenic area features a lakeside restaurant and platform, and offers a variety of water-based recreational and sports activities such as yacht rides, speedboats, motorboats, rowboats, canoeing, swimming, water skiing, and water gliding. The golden season to visit Lianhua Lake is from April to October.

Ticket: 30 RMB. A single ticket grants access to four attractions: Lianhua Lake, Ahongkou, Yangshui Station, and Egret Island.

Transportation: Lianhua Lake is 20 kilometers from Korla City and is easily accessible. During summer and autumn, it often attracts large crowds of visitors. It can be reached by tourist bus.
