Urumqi Children's Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Urumqi Children's Park is located at No. 47 Youhao North Road in the city center, bordering the Xinjiang People's Hall, the Autonomous Region International Expo Center, the Xinjiang Science and Technology Museum, Xinjiang Medical University, and the Xinjiang Military Region General Hospital. Covering an area of approximately 200,000 square meters, it is the only comprehensive children's park in Xinjiang that integrates science education, amusement, and garden appreciation.

In 1981, the municipal government decided to build Beiyi Park opposite the Kunlun Hotel. The park officially opened in 1987 and was named Children's Park. It currently features over 30 types of amusement facilities, multiple garden scenic spots, and more than 200 species of trees, flowers, and plants, with a green coverage rate of 86% and an annual visitor count of 500,000.

In recent years, the park has hosted large-scale events annually, attracting visitors of all ethnicities. In 1995, Children's Park held the "1995 Earth in Red" cultural and art exhibition, using 40,000 red umbrellas to create various formations, turning the park into a sea of red and creating a red sensation in Urumqi. In 1999, the park successfully hosted the "Urumqi Large-Scale Flower Sculpture Exhibition." The park cultivated over 400,000 mountain seedlings, shaped 220,000, potted 150,000, and had 80,000–90,000 shaped seedlings in reserve. There were 19 themed sculptures, nearly 20 smaller sculptures and scenic spot designs, along with flower belts spread throughout the park. A professional flower arrangement and potted plant art competition was also held, featuring over 80 fresh-cut flower arrangements and more than 300 potted plants, making it the largest and most successful floral exhibition in Urumqi’s history, with over 200,000 visitors. In 2000, the park again hosted the "2000 China Urumqi Flower Expo," with the theme "Environment and Nature," reflecting the public’s growing concern for protecting, improving, and optimizing the ecological environment at the turn of the new century. The expo was divided into sections on the east, west, and central areas of the park, with each area consisting of numerous large, medium, and small sculptures, presented through flower arrangements and belts. Leveraging the park’s existing lakes, mountains, and terrain advantages, the designs were both simple and elegant, visually pleasing, and rich in cultural meaning and artistic conception. In terms of floral materials, ecological elements such as plants and flowers were used to enhance realism and visual appeal.

The park is equipped with various amusement devices, and the electrical distribution system for these devices is provided by Schneider.
