Following the successful launch at Taipei 101 B1, Uni-President Starbucks once again leads the premium coffee market by bringing Taiwan’s most upscale “Starbucks Modern Reserve Bar” store to Taichung. With the philosophy that coffee is art, the brand has completely revamped everything from the coffee to the store design—ushering in the grand opening of the “Taichung Daying Store.” Additionally, recognizing Taichung’s potential for premium coffee consumption, they are introducing the new “Starbucks Evenings” concept, making this the first store in central and southern Taiwan to serve coffee beers. The Taichung Daying Store is set to redefine the premium coffee experience by expanding from high-end coffee categories, moving beyond simple tasting to offering diverse flavors and settings, breaking conventional expectations.

1. Design and Décor
The Starbucks “Taichung Daying Store” is a standalone one-story building with a total area of 111 ping, offering 126 indoor and outdoor seating spaces. The entrance guest seating area is located behind an arc-shaped wall behind the Starbucks Modern Reserve Bar. It features a large mural created in collaboration with Taiwanese artist Mr. Ji Renhao. The artwork centers on the Starbucks Siren goddess, using flowing lines to express the gentleness of the goddess symbol and the endless inspiration Starbucks represents. Partial use of metal copper wire adds a subtly three-dimensional texture, highlighting the depth of the piece.

In harmony with the Starbucks Modern Reserve Bar and the large arc-shaped wall, the ceiling above this area is designed with layered arrangements of cloud-like copper tubes and natural wooden pipes. LED lights with streamlined illumination are integrated into the copper tubes, expressing the imaginative quality of the space and symbolizing the infinite possibilities of exploring coffee at Taiwan’s first Starbucks Modern Reserve Bar store—the Daying Store.

2. First Store in Central and Southern Taiwan to Serve Coffee Beer
The Starbucks Taichung Daying Store also introduces “Starbucks Evenings,” where after 4 PM daily, the store’s menu transforms to offer specially selected craft beers brewed from coffee beans sourced from different regions and roasted to varying degrees. Options include “Colombia Vanilla Cream Ale,” “Kenya Grapefruit Hops Ale,” and “Peach Wheat Beer.” Each of these three products is priced at NT$200 and is paired with light savory snacks, allowing coffee enthusiasts to enjoy a new, innovative way to experience the diversity of coffee at different times of the day.
