Starbucks' Top-Tier Reserve Bar Debuts in Taichung: Five Highlights Not to Miss

Following the successful launch at Taipei 101 B1, Uni-President Starbucks once again leads the premium coffee market by bringing Taiwan’s most exclusive "Starbucks Modern Reserve Bar" store to Taichung. With the philosophy that coffee is art, the brand has completely transformed the “Taichung Daying Store” from coffee to store design, now grandly reopened. Additionally, recognizing Taichung’s potential for premium coffee consumption, it introduces the new “Starbucks Evenings” concept — the first in central and southern Taiwan to offer coffee beers. The Taichung Daying Store is set to redefine the premium coffee experience, extending beyond just tasting coffee to offering a variety of flavors and moods.

1. Design & Decor
The Starbucks “Taichung Daying Store” occupies a standalone one-story building with a total area of 111 ping, offering 126 indoor and outdoor seating spaces. The entrance seating area is located behind an arc-shaped wall behind the Starbucks Modern Reserve Bar, featuring a large mural created in collaboration with Taiwanese artist Ji Renhao. The artwork centers on the Starbucks Siren goddess, using flowing lines to express the gentleness of the goddess symbol and the endless inspiration Starbucks represents. The creative materials include partially embedded copper wires to create a slightly three-dimensional effect, adding layers to the visual presentation.

In harmony with the Starbucks Modern Reserve Bar and the large arc-shaped wall, the ceiling in this area features cloud-shaped copper pipes and natural wooden pipe hangers arranged in layers. LED lighting with streamlined illumination is integrated into the copper pipes, expressing the space's imaginative quality and representing the infinite possibilities of exploring coffee at Taichung’s first Starbucks Modern Reserve Bar — the Daying Store.

2. First Store in Central and Southern Taiwan to Offer Coffee Beers
The Starbucks Taichung Daying Store also introduces “Starbucks Evenings,” where after 4 p.m. daily, the menu transforms to feature specially selected craft beers brewed from coffee beans sourced from different regions and roasted to varying degrees. Options include “Colombia Vanilla Cream Ale,” “Kenya Grapefruit Hops Ale,” and “Peach Wheat Beer.” All three products are priced at NT$200 each and are paired with light savory snacks, allowing coffee enthusiasts to enjoy a new, innovative, and leisurely experience of coffee’s diverse offerings at different times of the day.
