In addition to standard coffee beverages, the Matsu branch also offers a pour-over coffee service. The store’s design reflects the unique local character of Matsu, incorporating iconic natural wonders such as the “Blue Tears” phenomenon, as well as local materials like “Min Dong-style stone house architecture” and “traditional sun-dried bamboo-woven sieves.” Every detail tells a story. The Matsu branch is also the only Starbucks location in Taiwan equipped with heating. A special Starbucks Community Ambassador service is available here to foster deeper connections with the community, conveying local emotions and historical memories. Visitors to the Starbucks Matsu branch can savor the charm of this scenic island through the aroma of coffee.

The Starbucks Matsu branch is located next to Fugang Harbor on Nangan Island, housed within a newly built structure designed to resemble a ship. The single-floor outlet spans a total area of 46 ping (approximately 151.7 square meters) and accommodates 50 seating guests. It is also the only Starbucks branch in Taiwan outfitted with heating. In addition to regular coffee drinks, the island-style central bar also offers a pour-over coffee service, allowing customers to watch skilled baristas craft their beverages right in front of them and enjoy a leisurely coffee moment.

The bar counter features an open, transparent spatial design that faces the views of Fugang Harbor and Binhai Boulevard, providing customers with an immersive visual experience and a sweeping view of the harbor scenery. The cement-brick walls of the seating area are inspired by the traditional Min Dong-style stone house architecture of Matsu, utilizing local stonemasonry techniques such as the “I-cut” and “zigzag-cut” methods. This design also echoes the distinctive geometric granite landforms of Matsu, shaped naturally through erosion.
