Introduction The landscape of Maya Mountain is formed by rock weathering. The Kazakhs call Maya Mountain "Mayiansan," which means "Mountain of Butter."

The top of Maya Mountain is relatively flat, featuring lush grasslands that are covered with buttercup grass and blooming with colorful flowers in summer. Standing here and looking around, you can take in the full view of Tianchi (Heavenly Lake) to the north, the Bogda Peak to the east and the snowy mountains and clouds to the south that seem within arm’s reach, while the Shitian area of Urumqi to the west is also clearly visible.
