Golden rain is falling in Tainan city center – the golden shower trees on Shuijiaoshe Road are stunningly beautiful

Visiting Tainan this season, you can see “golden rain” everywhere. Every late May and early June, it’s the blooming season of golden shower trees in Tainan. The golden blossoms hang from trees across many urban and suburban areas of Tainan. When the wind blows, it’s as if golden rain is falling — truly beautiful, and there are many spots in the city center where you can enjoy the view.

Golden shower trees are spread throughout Tainan’s urban and suburban areas. Popular flower-viewing spots include Liantan and Zha’ancuo in Baihe District, Hutoupi Scenic Area in Xinhua District, Far East University and the southern end of Shugu Avenue in Xinxing District, the area near Changrong Road on Minsheng Road in Xinying District, the Golden Tunnel on Dongfeng Road in North District, Buckle Memorial Park in East District, Sections 2 and 3 of LinSen Road and the red brick path on the east side of National Cheng Kung University’s Ziqiang Campus, as well as seven areas including the Tainan University Fucheng Campus in Central and West District and the area near Zhongyi Elementary School — a total of 12 locations.

If you’re visiting Tainan City and want to enjoy the beautiful golden rain scenery on foot, head to Shuijiaoshe Road opposite Jiaqi Girls' High School. Right now, the golden shower trees along both sides of the road are in full bloom. As the wind blows, golden petals scatter across the pavement, creating a very romantic scene. Set against the blue sky, it’s also one of the great spots for photography enthusiasts.
