Helan Mountain Gongzhongkou Gongzhongkou, located 35 kilometers northwest of Yinchuan City on the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountain Range, was historically known as a scenic gem of the Helan Mountains and is now one of Ningxia’s famous summer retreats and tourist destinations. Commonly referred to as "Xiaokouzi" (Little Mouth), this mountain pass is surrounded by hills on three sides and opens eastward, resembling a giant bell. At the center of the scenic area stands a small hill that looks like the bell clapper hanging inside a bell, hence called "Zhongling Mountain" (Bell Clapper Mountain). This is how "Gongzhongkou" (Rolling Bell Mouth) got its name.
