Ningxia Chateau Changyu Moser XV is situated in the High-Tech Industrial Development Zone of Yinchuan City. With an investment of 600 million yuan from Yantai Changyu Company, it is a high-end comprehensive estate that combines grape cultivation, premium wine production, wine culture exhibitions, wine tasting, conference hosting, and tourism. The estate covers an area of 1,300 acres, including 1,000 acres of vineyards. It also has 3,000 acres of dedicated vineyards, with an annual production capacity of 1,000 tons of estate-bottled wine.

The Ningxia Moser Estate is planned to cover 1,000 acres, with the first phase spanning over 400 acres. The main building features Byzantine architectural style and is surrounded by water on all sides, creating a unique mist effect that gives the impression of a fairyland shrouded in clouds. The main building has a construction area of 13,000 square meters, spread across four floors: three above ground and one underground. The first floor includes a reception hall, bottling production line, cinema, and a "wine DIY" making area. The second floor houses the Changyu Story, Changyu History and Culture Museum, secrets of red wine, interactive wine science exhibition hall, and a professional wine tasting room. The third floor is a multifunctional area, including the Wine University, OIV classroom, and meeting rooms. The underground floor features a wine cellar maze and VIP wine tasting rooms. The main building is a comprehensive wine-themed estate that integrates grape cultivation, high-end Moser estate wine brewing, wine culture tourism, and wine-themed tastings.

The main building of the chateau has a construction area of 13,000 square meters, spanning four floors — three above ground and one underground. The first floor includes a reception hall, bottling production line, cinema, and DIY making area. The second floor is the wine museum. The third floor is a multifunctional area with a wine academy, OIV classroom, and meeting rooms. The underground floor houses the wine cellar and VIP tasting rooms.

The chateau collaborates with the Moser family, a European winemaking dynasty renowned for grape cultivation. They appointed the 15th-generation descendant, Lenz Moser, as the chateau’s chief winemaker, and named the estate after him.

The Moser family’s history of winemaking dates back 400 years. The 13th-generation Moser, one of the most famous figures in the family, is known as the “father of modern viticulture.” In 1905, he invented the modern trellis system — the first method to allow grapevines to grow upright, significantly improving the quality of wine grapes and sparking a revolution in European vineyards. His book Weinbau Einmal Anders (Viticulture: A Different Approach) has been translated into 17 languages and is hailed as the “bible of grape growing.”

Moser brought the essence of his grandfather’s lifelong research on grape cultivation to the chateau’s vineyards. When he found that grapes at a height of 60–80 centimeters from the ground received the ideal balance of sunlight, ventilation, and humidity, he decisively pruned the fruit from other parts of the vines, leaving no more than 10 grape clusters per plant. As a result, the yield of the chateau’s vineyards is kept below 400 kilograms per acre, exceeding the standards of Bordeaux’s AOC appellation.
