Introduction: The ancient city ruins of Chenogu County from the Qin and Han dynasties are located in Gucheng Town, 15 kilometers west of Pengyang County. Situated in the center of a triangular plain on the north bank of the Ruhe River at the confluence of the Ruhe and Renhe rivers, it borders Dianwa Reservoir to the east, Chenogu Pool to the west, and Luojia Mountain to the north, surrounded by peaks that give it the dynamic shape of a dragon leaping and a tiger springing.

Chenogucheng has long been a strategic military location. During the Qin and Han dynasties, it was a key point on the route to Chang’an. Today, the ancient city walls stand broken yet simple and robust. Newly built commercial buildings complement traditional courtyard homes, wide asphalt roads coexist with narrow alleys, bustling markets contrast with tranquil farmhouses, and the serene and solemn Dongshan Mosque is nestled among lush pines and cypresses alongside schools where the sounds of reading fill the air—creating a quaint and elegant scene.
