Qiaotou Park is located on the northern side of Qiaotou Town. Established in 1984, it originally covered an area of 150 mu and has now been expanded to 180 mu, accommodating up to 15,000 visitors at a time. The park is praised as one of the “New Eight Scenic Spots of Xining” for its solemn elegance, tranquil natural beauty, and delicate charm.

Backed by the rolling Niuyang Mountain, facing the Beichuan River, overlooking the majestic Yuanshuo Mountain that towers over the Three Valleys, and nestled against the lush Experimental Forest Farm, Qiaotou Park is surrounded by open and flat terrain interspersed with fertile farmland. The park features an exquisitely designed and uniquely conceived layout that not only showcases the grandeur and vastness unique to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau but also embodies the agility and refinement of classical gardens in southern China. It’s no exaggeration to describe Qiaotou Park with the words of local calligrapher Zhong Xijiu: “Green hills on three sides, willows on four; spring breeze fills the park, flowers bloom halfway.”
