Located in the southwest, the grounds are divided into areas of 19,000 hectares and 25,000 hectares respectively. The hunting grounds sit at an altitude of 3,000 to 5,000 meters, within the Burhan Dabu Mountain area, an extension of the Kunlun Mountains. The terrain features towering mountains, mostly covered with wind-eroded rock surfaces. The slopes vary in steepness along the mountain ridges—sunny slopes are steep while shaded ones are more gentle. The valleys twist and turn, hills stand uncrowded, morning mists linger, and streams trickle softly. Wild willows and tall grasses grow abundantly, while herds of blue sheep roam the area, making it an ideal hunting ground for enthusiasts.

The Dulan Hunting Ground is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including rare and precious species such as snow leopards, argali, white-lipped deer, Tibetan gazelles, and blue sheep, as well as red deer, musk deer, wolves, red foxes, plateau rabbits, Tibetan snowcocks, Pallas’s sandgrouse, chukars, and ring-necked pheasants. Among them, blue sheep are especially numerous, often seen in groups of four to five hundred. The hunting ground offers vehicles, horses, camels, and yaks for guests to choose from, along with experienced guides ready to lead hunting enthusiasts through the wilderness.
