Xuling Cave Ruins
The Xuling Cave Ruins are a protected cultural heritage site of Dafang County.
The Xuling Cave Ruins are located in Xinying Village, Machang Town, and are a county-level cultural heritage site, dating back to the Qing Dynasty as an ancient historical site.
Xinying Village: Xinying Village is situated in the eastern part of Machang Town, approximately 10 kilometers from the town government center. It covers an administrative area of 10.5 square kilometers, comprising 20 villager groups with a total of 1,357 households and 4,937 residents. The village has nearly 4,000 mu of arable land, over 300 mu of forested land, and almost 3,000 mu of barren hills and grassy slopes. At an elevation of 1,400 meters, it features typical karst topography and boasts abundant tourism resources, including undeveloped sites such as “Yanyakou,” “Xuling Cave,” and “Fasha Cave,” which serve as potential destinations for tourism, leisure, and summer retreats. The climate is mild, offering favorable conditions for the development of grassland animal husbandry, medicinal herb cultivation, and specialty agriculture.
