During this period, passengers who use designated credit cards from 15 banks to purchase standard class reserved seat tickets via the “Credit Card Discount Zone” on the THSR website’s online booking system, and actually ride the train, can enjoy a minimum discount of 15% off the fare. Additionally, THSR will hold a lottery to give away free or half-price ride vouchers. Taiwan High Speed Rail 2014 “Double Enjoyment: Discounts & Draws, Free Monthly Tickets” Campaign Prizes:

l  First Prize (12 winners per month): Each winner receives “4 Standard Class Free Ride Vouchers,” totaling 48 winners over four months

l  Second Prize (20 winners per month): Each winner receives “4 Standard Class Half-Price Ride Vouchers,” totaling 80 winners over four months

l  Third Prize (20 winners per month): Each winner receives “2 Standard Class Half-Price Ride Vouchers,” totaling 80 winners over four months

 

 

※ Relevant regulations for Taiwan High Speed Rail’s “Standard Class Cardholder Discount Program” are as follows:

1. Starting September 1, the ticketing window for the “Standard Class Cardholder Discount Program” will be adjusted to 4 days (inclusive) before the travel date up to 1 hour before train departure. Passengers are advised to take note.

 

2. The “Standard Class Cardholder Discount Program” is only available via the “Credit Card Discount Zone” on the THSR website’s online booking system. Passengers need to enter the first eight digits of their credit card number to confirm eligibility for the program before completing booking and payment.

 

3. Before using your card, please confirm with your issuing bank whether your credit card qualifies for the discount. Also, verify that your reward points meet the redemption criteria before using them, to ensure you receive the intended benefits.

 

4.A maximum of 10 tickets can be purchased per transaction under this program, and it can be combined with the “Weekday Off-Peak 8% Discount.”; it does not apply to child tickets, senior tickets, compassionate tickets, or group tickets, nor can it be used in conjunction with other THSR promotional offers.

 

5. Passengers who purchase standard class reserved seat tickets with designated bank credit cards duringthe campaign period (from September 1 to December 31, 2014, based on travel date)will be eligible for one lottery draw per ticket with a valid travel record. The winning list will be announced on the 20th of each month on the THSR corporate website (postponed in case of holidays).
